Iridology Is Nonsense!

Summary: In a recent article published on Quckwatch, Dr Stephen Barrett turns his spotlight on the practice of Iridology (sometimes referred to as iris diagnosis). Iridology is based on the belief that a persons health can be assessed by the examination of a persons iris. Evidence refutes any claim that Iridology can predict a persons health and well being.
This article is a detailed review of the evidence and any patient considering iridology should be referred to it. The Society for Clinical Opthlmology endorses Dr Barrett's bottom line which is best left in his words:
"The Bottom Line
Iridology makes no anatomic or physiologic sense. It is not merely worthless. Incorrect diagnoses can unnecessarily frighten people, cause them to waste money seeking medical care for nonexistent conditions, or steer them away from necessary medical care when a real problem is overlooked."
